PDA & Autistic Females
Founder of ACE-SEN and a specialist in PDA and female presentations of autism, with 25+ years supporting neurodivergent children and young people.
Nicola is the Founder of ACE-SEN Consultancy and a specialist in Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) and female presentations of autism. With over 25 years of experience supporting neurodivergent children and young people, she is known for her calm, relational approach and her ability to see the child behind the behaviour.
As both a professional and a parent with lived experience of neurodiversity, Nicola brings a depth of understanding to situations. She is particularly skilled at recognising the subtle, often-missed signs of autism in girls and young women, and supporting children whose profiles don’t fit the traditional mould.
Nicola’s work centres on compassion, clarity, and connection — helping families and schools understand the “why” beneath behaviour, and creating environments where children feel safe, seen, and celebrated.
